Sorry for the delay in posting, we ran away for a weekend in Vegas, and it was fabulous.

Enough about me lets talk about A+R Photography. They are an amazing brother and sister fine art photography team.

Speaking of Vegas they just won an awesome award at the WPPI Convention held in Vegas a few weeks ago. They won in the 16×20 print competition, and although I think that photo is completely amazing I had to go with this one for photo of the week.

I love how romantic and dreamy this photo looks. I also love that it has a black and white quality to it without being black and white.

Simply Dazzling Events Wins Most Inspiring Blog

Our next award goes to Simply Dazzling Events. We decided to give Stella our most inspiring blog award although it was a toss up between inspiring and comprehensive. We went with inspiring because I love all the DIY stuff she throws into her blog. Brides love being able to take a little more ownership of their special day and taking on a few fun DIY projects, and Simply Dazzling Events has wonderfully inspiring ideas.

Forever After Images Awarded Our Photo Of The Week

Rosie Parsons of Forever After Images is a fabulously talented wedding and lifestyle photographer from Oxford UK.

I love the colors and the lighting in this shot. The look on the brides face is priceless and the fact that she is not wearing a traditional style wedding gown is my favorite part of the shot.

Earth Friendly Weddings Wins Our Green Wedding Blog Award

Earth Friendly Weddings is the most charming blog I’ve seen in a while. With the title Earth Friendly Weddings I just had to give Jennifer our green wedding blog award.

I love that she is showing the world that you can be earth friendly without sacrificing style. She shows real weddings, wedding ideas, and products with fabulous earth friendly style.

She also leans towards a vintage look and feel (which of course is very earth friendly) which I absolutely adore. I am a huge fan. Subscribe here.

Casting Call

I got an email the other day from Grace the casting director over at Who’s Wedding is it Anyway. They are looking for a spontaneous couple who doesn’t mind getting married at the last minute for their 100th wedding episode.

I Do Now I Don’t Wins Most Inspiring Blog

Without further a do, I give you I Do Now I Don’t. This is a great blog that started from a very sad story. This is one guy who was handed lemons and chose to make lemonade.

The concept of this blog is something I haven’t seen before. He started a great little company helping people sell their engagement rings that for whatever reason aren’t needed anymore. This is a great way to get fabulous jewelry at very discounted prices while helping someone out of a jam.

Finding creative ways to help others inspires me.

The Pink Book Blog Wins Best Use of Photos Award

I am a sucker for great photos, and The Pink Book Blog has fabulous photos. The whole site is total eye candy.

They call themselves the pink ladies. These four pink ladies have a great eye. With four different personalities contributing to the blog they have a wide range of great topics that they cover. I could spend hours perusing through their archives. This is one blog that is a must read.

I would tell you to subscribe to their feed, but they don’t seem to have one. What a shame.

Blue Planet Wedding Awarded Our Green Wedding Blog Award

Being the first day of Spring and feeling a little anxious to spend more time outside enjoying the beautiful weather, I’ve been reading up on my green wedding blogs. There are so many ideas for having a green wedding but only a few places that make any sense. It’s true: I’m not a totally green girl but I like to contribute when I can and BluePlanetWedding.com’s Green and Ethical Wedding Blog is quite extensive on ideas that are real.

If I had one complaint about the site it would be the font size - it’s too small. We know you’re not trying to save paper. But seriously, I have to adjust my browser to blow up the sizing so I can read it.

The information is great and you can review their list of 95 things to make your wedding more green friendly.
